We will deviate from our beaten path on this one and will not select a single event to discuss about. Instead, we will talk about one of rugby’s greatest events. The Six Nations’ championship that begins on Jan 31 and ends on Mar 15. And our suggestion will be about an outright bet for the winner of the tournament.

It’s no longer a British Isle issue

And it hasn’t been for quite a while. When it begun it was supposed to be a competition between the 4 nations of the United Kingdom. England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. When France joined in 1961 no one would have expected that they would win it 18 times with another 8 being shared victories. And they only lost it last year because the reigning champions managed to defeat Scotland in the critical match.

For the new tournament, they are actually the favorites for the title. Only Ireland may be able to challenge Les Bleus, while England and Scotland may have some chances but not many. Wales and Italy are not even considered for the spot. At least, this is the expectation. And we tend to disagree with the assessment.

Good odds for whatever choice

France pays at @2.68. The current champions come next at @2.70. England are expected to play the role of a controller amongst the other two and finish third with odds @4.02 if they manage to overcome their shortcomings and win the tournament. The Scots at a price of @6.53 may also have a say in the proceedings. Wales (@67.34) and Italy (@104.45) can only be described as the punching bags for the rest.

Looking at it from the outside, it’s even money for the first two. However, it is not as simple as it looks. Yes, France will be one of the top two. But we do not believe that they will claim the title. The reason being that there have not been such major changes in the rosters of both sides. Which translates to the Irish having both the heart and the experience to keep their seat for a third consecutive time.

Therefore, we will suggest to those that will have the will to open their own Game2bet account, an outright bet for Ireland to win the tournament at @2.70. The rest is up to you.
